CCCXVII - The Martini.

The Martini

Some gin, with a dash of vermouth,
Gives an air of being so couth.
It just reeks upper-class
In its conical glass,
But tastes bloody awful, in truth.

  2. It does taste bloody awful. However, have you ever had a chocolate martini made with vodka? Yumm! And I know real martini drinkers don't consider that a martini.

LOL! I'll have to drink a martini one of these days.

  8. Or "colortinis" as Tom Snyder used to remark.
But I think he matched the drink with some smoke -- if you know what I mean?

  9. Haven't developed a taste for gin? Well, no matter. I rather enjoy it, with bitter lemon, particularly.

I am puzzled, though, that you're always drinking doubles. That may be the problem. Try a single martinus, sometime. Might taste better.

That said, single malt Scotch is to be preferred.
