645 : The Taunter

Three Word Wednesday requires participants
to use the three words of the week in a composition.
The words this week were combative, represent and sluggish.

Joe Hockey, our poor excuse for a treasurer
taunted General Motors, dared them to leave the country.
So they did.  Good job, Joe.

The Taunter

Some people,
Itching for a fight,
Are needlessly combative.
And pound their particular pulpit,
Dull and uncreative.

You find
They wield a sluggish mind,
They sit
And say they represent
The holy forces of The Right
But evidence is absent.

  1. Are you only picking on him because he is a fat, humorless git?

  2. I'm picking on him because he's dull, stupid and a very bad actor. His attempts at looking stern and angry look so false, so laughable, that no-one believes him.

  5. What a pity that self-righteous and sanctimonious were not included (yes, I know that would make it five Word Wednesday). And, sadly, we are supposed to trust them when they say they represent the holy forces (or anything really).

  6. Oh, dear! Looks like a terribly self-righteous politician to me. We've got a whole bunch of them up here in Canada. I extend my heartfelt sympathy! Bah! Humbug!

    Peace and joy!
